First I must apologise for waiting so long to do my next post, Life has juat been so hectic at the moment and at some point I will fill you in on whats been going on but first I must tell you this.
I really really hate myself right now but I know its for the best. She may be my fourth baby but I have been really soft this time round, maybe because its highly likely she is my last. She is now 11 months old and still does not sleep through the night because she likes to fall asleep and comfort on the breast, well I have to be honest waking every couple of hours and having to do all the feeding as well as look after my other three kids every day really does take its toll. I feel tired every day, some days feel impossible when im sitting on the couch at around 4ish giving Pippa her feed and my head starts to nod. But I cant just go to sleep, not only because I have other children but because theres not a chance Pippa will be put down without waking.
Well the time has come where I have said enough is enough.
No more bed sharing!
No more feeding to sleep! (Which I have found out is actually called sleep association)
Its time to toughen up for all our sakes.
I know this method will get mixed opinions, but what works for some may not work for others and this is the route I decided to take, so please no judging.
The Ferber Method.
This was pippa at the start of the night. It breaks my heart to see her little face so upset and to hear the cries its like a knife through my heart. The whole time I did this I had to keep reminding myself its for the best.
Honestly I really dont know why im so soft this time. I never had a problem letting my other children cry for a little while to get them to sleep. I have been soft in every way this time round.
This is Pippa after 26 minutes and 18 seconds. This is the first time she has ever tried this method and so far it has worked.
The great thing is you can change it up to what suits your needs best.

10 minutes
This has worked for our first night, hopefully tomorrow we can start at 5 minutes.
